Frequently
asked questions

I know X-rays from hospital scans or airport security — is this the same kind of thing?

What does MuRayTech actually do?

Isn't muon imaging already a known technique — what's "Active" about it?

What's the benefit of generating muons artificially instead of using natural ones?

Who is behind MuRayTech and how far along is the technology?

When will this be available, and can I get involved or learn more?

Laser Plasma
Accelerator

Every MuRay image starts with a controlled muon beam, generated on demand by a compact laser-plasma accelerator. Passive Muon Imaging waits for cosmic rays and takes days. We know our customers can’t wait. MuRay does not wait, we apply Active Muon Imaging.
